3D Sound, Multimedia & Entertainment SystemsWhen we hear things in the physical world, our ears pick up a variety of audible clues that tell us such things as "a truck is approaching me rapidly, from behind and to the left, and it's remarkably near." Until recently, however, most computer-generated sound was merely stereophonic--sounds could appear from the left or right, but they had no real depth. The latest 3D sound techniques, use techniques to trick our ears into positing sounds in three dimensions. Many 3D audio techniques require a specially designed sound card to work.
3D Sound in 3D space - Summary3D visualisation in Panorama displays is a widespread means of communication within a number of areas including architectural-design and experience-oriented applications. At the same time, it has been confirmed that sound similarly provides a powerful instrument which so far has been exploited to a limited degree in 3D visualisation in panoramas and similar interactive 3D display facilities. NSIS is Associated with worlds leading developers and producers of sound effect equipment, including equipment for spatial simulation of multi-channel music, but has only worked to a limited extent with real-time design of the sound experience, where the listening position and the sound source are in relative motion to each other. Aim To develop and investigate the use of 3D sound in three-dimensional graphical spatial models.
